Autumn Harvest Wreath in Watercolour and AIM magazine

I wrote these pages for the last Artisan in Miniature magazine AIM, that was to be available in November and sent them to our fabulous Editor Sally Watson. Shortly after I sent these pages and a few photos for the gallery Sally passed away. So sad for her family and friends. I was shocked and devastated. She did so much of the magazine herself and with the help of the editorial team but she rallied everyone to get motivated and it really worked for me. I had stepped down from formatting the magazine which I enjoyed for years because of my essential tremor in my hands. I will miss Sally's incredible sense of humour and determined personality so much!! We have not heard yet if AIM magazine will continue.

If you are working on this project and would like some inspiration  for wreaths, I have created a Board in my Pinterest called Wreath Inspiration of ideas. https://www.pinterest.ca/jdayminis/

  1. Hi Jean. I love this wreath, it is so cute. And what a sad time to lose someone so actively trying to promote minis and bring joy to people. I hope others can help take up the slack and keep going with the magazine.

  2. Oh, no! I am so sorry to hear Sally passed away. I have gotten much inspiration from AIM Magazine and have all the issues back to Issue 9. If it doesn't continue, I will truly miss it. Thank you for providing us with a copy of the article you had written. The wreaths are beautiful!

  3. So sad to hear about Sally's recent passing. We are such an integrated little community that the loss of one, will be felt by many.

  4. So sorry to read of Sally's passing. I so much enjoyed reading the AIM Magazine every time it came out and always looked forward to the next issue. Sally was a member of CampOn.groups.io (an online miniature group) and we had several conversations over the last year.
On a more positive note, I enjoyed reading your blog and love the printables you have provided everyone. Thank you.
    Yvette.
