Steampunk Inventor's Room, some close up photos

Here are some close up photos from the still unfinished Steampunk room. Two masks, a rollar periferal digitator, steamclock birds and bugs. Thank you so much for all of your encouraging comments, I appreciate them so much. I've been also working on a quarter scale toy store for an article for AIM free on line mini magazine so I will look forward to getting back to this room soon.

More details from the right side of the desk, a tiny set of screw drivers and technical instruments.

Above is a photo of wind up fan and solar powered Steampunk tea caddy with a close up of the tea caddy. It automatically pours your tea and the teas are stored in the large box.

A photo showing the steamy effect in the ceiling.

A stand alone magnifier, crystal powered for amazing magnifications.

Thank you so much for having a look,
Mini Hugs, Jean♥

  6. WOW!!! Thanks for showing the close ups. I could tell there were many little details involved from your previous post, but now I can see how incredible each is! Especially the little steampunk items in the glass cabinet (1st photo). I clicked to enlarge it and just stared at each one forever. Very, very clever and impressive Jean!

  7. Your eye for detail is awesome! Love all the inventions but specially love the tools on the work desk, so much detail and it looks like the inventor has just got up from his work!

  11. Amazing little pieces! You are skilled - I have trouble with making simple things small, but your parts must be microscopic. Good thing you have a crystal powered magnifying glass - heehee - we all need one of those!

  12. Hang on, wait a minute, no way! Does your tea caddy actually works!!????? OMG! I am seeing steam coming out from all the "engines" floating up the ceiling! Even if it does not, WOW!!! LOVE them all!!!!

Are you a rocket scientist disguised as a miniaturist? :):)

You know what's my absolute favourite piece, the steampunk gas mask! OMG!!!!! I had a gas mask with the tube once, a life size one which was stolen from a restaurant I loaned the mask to. Yours is absolutely amazing, Jean. Thank you for the close ups. What a treat it was!!!

They should feature this in AIM as well.

  20. Just found your blog and this page - what I like best is that you didn't just stick watch parts on things and call it "Steampunk". In the cases and around the room everything actually has a purpose, and the gears are there to help fulfil that purpose. Bravo!
